Interesting article on how users will often overlook the actual location of information if another website area seems like the perfect place to look.
Resume build from Deceivingly Strong Information Scent Costs Sales :
Information scent refers to the extent to which users can predict what they will find if they pursue a certain path through a website. If information scent is sufficiently pungent, people are generally convinced that they’re looking in the right place. If that place doesn’t contain what they want, they’re likely to conclude that the site doesn’t offer it at all.
The standard solution to overly strong …

Football and Soccer Field Size
I had a discussion not so long ago about the difference between the size of the soccer and the football field. After a bit of debating and research here are my finding :
- NFL Rules (Basic Rules): 120 X 53 yards
- CFL Rules: 150 X 65 yards
- FIFA Rules: 150 X 100 yards
The main difference is the wideness of the soccer field. Note that the soccer field can vary between 100 X 50 and 150 X 100 yards.
Gynecologist at Auto Mechanics School Thursday August 12th
After 40 years as a gynecologist, John decided he had enough money to retire and take up his real love, auto mechanics. He left his practice, enrolled in auto mechanics school, and studied hard.
The day of the final exam came and John worried if he would be able to complete the test with the same proficiency as his younger classmates. Most of the students completed their exam in two hours. John, on the other hand, took the entire four hours allotted.
The following day, John was delighted and surprised to see a score of 150% for his exam. John spoke to …

This week-end I meet up with some friends at a Japanese restaurant, hummm… Sushi ! By the way if you’re in the area of Côte des Neiges you should try it, it’s called Atami, it’s very good and not so pricey.
So as I was saying during the supper we talked about some gadgets and we questioned ourselves on some of the technology use to transfer data and their transfer rate. So I did a bit of research on the Net and I found out that there’s quite a lot of information concerning network communication speed.
